Founded and Invented by Angus Willows, Kangaroo™ started in the dorm room of the mechanical engineer and product designer with a passion for simplicity through beautiful design, and a need for a better, more sustainable hanger.
Angus Willows, Inventor and Founder of Kangaroo
The first concept of the Kangaroo Hanger was sketched in his Junior Year dorm room. From there, Angus spent hundreds of hours writing the utility patent himself while pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering. After graduating, Angus started finalizing production-level prototypes and found a sustainable manufacturing partner to help realize this industry-changing design, but with a very important requirement. It could only be fabricated with 100% Recycled Materials. He then started posting on social media about the design and received over 80 Million views in the first 7 months. The idea was a huge hit, and launched late January 2024. During this time, Angus had been working on a new design, with premium, yet sustainable materials. He then released the Alloy Kangaroo Hanger in early May, 2024. Angus' goal with Kangaroo Hanger is to make the entire hanger industry sustainable. He continues to push Kangaroo in towards this goal with new inventions and sustainable inventions.
